Roy Kimathi

As a certified Microsoft Engineer (MCSE, MCPS, MCSA, MCNPS) and Ethical Hacker, Roy Kimathi has over 10 years of expertise in providing solutions for key organizations like The Kenya Ports Authority, MTN Uganda, MTN Rwanda, Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA), Ministry of Education (Kenya), AMREF International, ActionAid International and East Africa’s most profitable company, Safaricom.  He previously headed the technical departments for Computer Revolution Africa and First Computers and is an associate consultant for Microsoft WECA.

Against a backdrop of successful IT solutions in conceptualizing, designing, implementing, managing and securing Enterprise IT systems, messaging and collaboration, database management, Roy Kimathi is most certainly Kenya’s greatest IT specialist, well known for his strong analytical and problem solving skills with a “there is no problem I can’t fix” attitude. Irene Githua carries an extensive project and client portfolio having developed over 70 websites and Intranets plus over 20 email newsletters all designed and creatively written for various organizations including The Nobel Peace Laureate (2004), Prof. Wangari Maathai and the Greenbelt Movement, Oxfam, The Gender & Governance Programme in Kenya (UNIFEM), ActionAid International, Housing Finance, African Union ECOSOCC, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, The Kenya Red Cross Society, The French Embassy to Kenya as well as the Pharmacy Board of Kenya.

Irene Githua’s outlook to website development is undoubtedly what will bring the story of Africa onto the World Wide Web where it can be seen and heard by the rest of the world. She has proven experience in website audit, website design and development, Information Architecture, Internet Marketing as well as Creative Writing and Technology Advertising.

Her most recent work with the Gender & Governance Programme, where the website hits reached an all time high of 4 million, is proof of her abilities in developing and deploying sound Internet Strategies. During her employment with Kenyaweb.com Ltd, she developed their Internet Portal which was named the 16th most popular website in Africa taking 3rd position in Kenya.
